Joseph Yu

Joseph Yu B.A. MMus (Melb), PPRNCM, is an internationally renowned brass player, and teaches Brass, Woodwind and Percussion. Many of his students have professional position overseas. Joseph's performance have been enthusiastically received in many countries including those of Asia, the UK, Italy and New Zealand. In Hong Kong he spent more than 10 very fruitful years working in all aspects of music, the culmination of which was the formation of the Hong Kong young Musicians' Wind Orchestra (HKYMWO). more…

David Singh

David Singh first premiered as a conductor at the Kingston Massed Bands Festival in August 2009, conducting the John Mallinson Youth Band, and has since conducted in many concerts with YBP.

David is currently a third year University student, studying his Bachelor of Music at the University of Melbourne. He was deeply involved in setting up YBP back at the end 2008, and is currently a conductor, tutor, and the treasurer for YBP. more…

John Mallinson

John Mallinson (b. 1934 in Melbourne) B.Mus (Melb), ARCM, LRAM, ARCO, MIMT, MACE, went to Scotch College, where he learned organ with Claude Monteath.

At Melbourne University Faculty of Music he studies with Dr Arthur Nickson for organ, and with Roy Shepherd for piano. Later, in London at the Royal College of Music his tutors were Sir John Dykes-Bower, Organist of St. Paul's Cathedral and Dr Osborne Peasgood, Sub-Organist at Westminster Abbey. more…
